It's time for radical change.
We need to rethink how we work together, to harness greater resources, broaden reach and build solidarity at multiple levels.
— Arundhati Roy
Historically, pandemics have forced humans to break with the past and imagine their world anew. This one is no different. It is a portal, a gateway between one world and the next.
We can choose to walk through it, dragging the carcasses of our prejudice and hatred, our avarice, our data banks and dead ideas, our dead rivers and smoky skies behind us.
Or we can walk through lightly, with little luggage, ready to imagine another world. And ready to fight for it
You are invited to Imaginethefuture
We’re off track for halving emissions by 2030 and actively regenerating nature. It’s time to change that, achieving a just transition. We must direct the positive energy inside us to reshape our future. But first, we must believe it is possible.
Over the next few months, we are creating an imaginarium! This will include a series of expertly facilitated conversations, covering everything from the future of finance to the future of health. We need everyone if we are to succeed in this decisive decade.
In these conversations, participants are invited to paint a picture of the future we need – to really envision it – and delineate the critical steps necessary to get there. They will leave the conversations with a commitment to make that future manifest in whatever way they can.
The visions and ideas from these conversations will inform a crowd-sourced plan for businesses, investors, cities, civil-society groups and others to manifest the future together, that will be published towards the end of 2020 to chart the path forward.
If you want to be part of one of these #ImagineTheFuture conversations, or host your own, please contact us using the form below or by emailing:
What is your vision of the future, and how will we get there?
I want to
IMAGINATION: ABUNDANT, LIMITLESS, RENEWABLE.
As Nobel physicist Ilya Prigogine understood: the future is not so much determined by what we do in the present as our image of the future determines the actions we take now.
If we can't imagine a way out of the climate crisis, it just can't happen. It’s time to take urgent action on climate change and unleash a GREAT REGENERATION.
